A respectful place to remember, share information, and offer support.

The obituary section of The Nebraska Cremation Society website provides a place for families and friends to view recent obituaries, search for a listing, share condolences, and find service or gathering information when applicable.

Not every family chooses to publish an obituary. When obituary placement is selected, the obituary may provide a central location for remembering the person who has died, sharing approved information, and helping others know how to offer support.

Obituary placement on our website is optional and is available at no additional charge.

Recent Obituaries 

Recent obituary listings are displayed below.

Each obituary may include information such as:

• The person’s name
• Dates of birth and death
• Obituary text provided or approved by the family
• Photographs, when selected
• Service, gathering, visitation, committal, or memorial information, when applicable
• Guestbook or condolence features
• Options for sharing the obituary with others

Search Obituaries

Obituary listings may be searched by name or date.

This allows family members, friends, and community members to return to a listing, review service information, or leave a message of support.

Condolences and Guestbook Messages 

Online obituary pages may allow visitors to leave condolences, share memories, or offer words of support to the family. Guestbook messages and submitted content may be reviewed before publication.

Families are not required to use online condolences, guestbook features, or memory-sharing tools.

Service and Gathering Information 

When a gathering, visitation, memorial service, committal, or other event has been selected and documented, service information may be included in the obituary listing.

Service details are posted according to information provided or approved by the family.

If service arrangements are pending, private, incomplete, or not selected, the obituary may reflect that no public service information is currently listed.

Photos, Memories, and Online Sharing 

When selected, an obituary page may include photographs, memories, or other online tribute features.

These features are intended to help family and friends remember, share, and return to the obituary when needed.

The family determines what information and photographs are provided or approved for publication.

Flowers, Memorial Gifts, and Tribute Options 

Some obituary pages may include options for flowers, memorial gifts, memorial trees, or other tribute features through the website platform.

These options are provided as support features for family and friends. They are not required, and families are not obligated to purchase or select flowers, gifts, merchandise, or memorial items.

Any outside provider, florist, memorial gift, newspaper, cemetery, or third-party charge is separate unless specifically included in a written agreement.

Submitting or Updating Obituary Information 

Obituary information should be reviewed carefully before publication.

If you need to submit obituary information, correct a listing, update service details, or ask a question about an obituary, please contact The Nebraska Cremation Society.

Publication timing may depend on family approval, information received, platform processing, obituary review, and whether service details are complete.

Newspaper Obituaries 

Website obituary placement is separate from obituary placement in a newspaper or other outside publication.

If newspaper placement is requested, charges, deadlines, formatting rules, and publication timing are determined by the newspaper or outside publication.

Those charges are not included unless specifically selected, priced, and documented in writing.
