William Dennis Britten, age 74 of Lincoln, died January 10, 2025 at his home. He was born June 2, 1950, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Raymond and Agnes (Delaney) Britten. Dennis was a multi-sport athlete in high school and at Fairbury Journal College, and qualified for the Junior Olympics. He continued his athletic involvement throughout his life. After earning a Bachelor's degree from Peru State College, Dennis worked in agricultural implement manufacturing at Chief Industries and Case-New Holland in Grand Island. A consummate woodworker in his spare time, Dennis built and reburbished furniture, much of which he donated to charity. Active, outdoor ventures were some of his favorite pursuits.

Dennis is survived by his children Nate Britten and Nicole Britten, both of Lincoln; siblings Joe (Sharon) Britten of Grand Island, Theresa Compton of Jacksonville, FL, Cecelia (Dan) Schultz of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters-in-law Pam Britten of Omaha and Vicki Britten of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Laurie (Vosberg) Britten, and brothers Roger and Francis Britten.
