Walter J. Sheldon, III, passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 18, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1964 in Lincoln, NE to Fred and Karen Sheldon.

Walter had several brothers and sisters. He started working at a young age. He held several jobs over the years including roofing, car repos, and rental sales.

Walter married Angela (Gettman) on September 2, 1994. Together they had three sons; Dusten, Hunter, and A'Ryan.

Walter enjoyed fishing, going to auctions, going to garage sales, and spending time with his sons.

Walter was preceded in death by both of his parents and three of his sisters (Marleen, Tammi, and Tina). He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jerry Gettmen. He is survived by his wife, Angela; his four sons, Dusten, Hunter, and A'Ryan Sheldon all of Lincoln, NE; and Fred Sheldon of Fremont, NE. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Jo Hendricks of Lincoln, NE.

No funeral services will be held per Walter's wishes. A celebration of life will be held on April 25, 2026 from 1pm to 5pm at the Disabled American Veteran's Chapter House located at 3901 N. 70th Street in Lincoln, NE.
