Virginia "Ginny" Spencer passed away in her home in Waverly, NE on August 3rd, 2021. Ginny graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1963. During her career, Ginny worked for Woolsworths and The Office of Human Development. After retiring, she volunteered as a foster grandparent at Lincoln Elementary in Gering, NE. Some of her hobbies included bowling, reading, and crafting. She especially enjoyed creating homemade greeting cards and sending them to friends and family in celebration of birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Marie Amen, husband, Mike Spencer, and siblings Maurice Amen, Connie Walter, and Greg Amen. She is survived by her children Shawn Spencer, daughter-in-law Toni Spencer, Jason Spencer, Laura Trautman, and son-in-law Ronald Trautman, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Per Ginny's wishes, no services will be performed at this time.
