Victoria S
Timmons
Mar 10, 1953 — Dec 18, 2022
Victoria Sue Timmons passed away on December 18, 2022 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska, after several years of declining health due to congestive heart failure. She was born on March 10, 1953 in Joplin Missouri, the daughter of Lonnie Dean and Margaret Sue Hohlier.
She graduated from Parkwood High School in Joplin where she was active in the band and later attended Missouri Southern State University. She and her family were active in church life at South Joplin Christian Church.
She married Stephen Murray in 1972 and together had two sons, Christopher and Douglas Murray. They were active in the Joplin Jaycee's from 1975-1980.
She later married the Reverend Jack B. Timmons in 1985 and together pastored churches in Independence, Kansas and Luling, Texas. After Reverend Timmons' death, she managed the Disciples Conference Center church camp near Gonzales Texas.
While managing the camp, she met and married William Michael. They then moved to Victoria, Texas where she went to school for training to become a Massage Therapist and discovered her greatest passion. Helping her loved and loyal clients with their pain brought her joy beyond even her comprehension.
Due to declining health, she moved in with her son in Lincoln Nebraska where she lived for the last 8 years. Other than the terribly cold weather she was happy and enjoyed her time in Nebraska.
She is survived by her sons, Chris (Cori Frels) in Red Rock Texas and Douglas in Lincoln Nebraska, and her brother, Michael Hohlier in Norman Oklahoma. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Andrea Hohlier and step-children Krista Timmons, Ruby Scarpitti, and James Michael and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Aunt Mary Heidrick, Rev. Jack Timmons and husband Bill Michael of Victoria Texas.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Bryan West hospital and AseraCare Hospice for their love and care of Victoria. She spoke kindly of the nursing staff and truly felt cared for.
No funeral services are planned. Burial will be at a later date near Joplin Mo.
