Veronica "Ronnie" Grijalba March 17, 1951 – September 7, 2023

Ronnie was born March 17th, 1951 in Sioux City, IA to Elwin and Eva (Sterling) McKernan and passed

away September 7, 2023 in Waverly, NE after a long illness. She enjoyed spending time with family,

collecting Betty Boop memorabilia and Native American art, listening to country and R&B music, and she

was an avid reader of romance and mystery novels. She loved vacationing with family, especially when

she could spend time with her grandchildren.

Mama Grijalba is survived by her daughter Tina McPhillips and spouse Brett, and son William (Bill)

Grijalba. She was a loving Nana to Aspyn Grijalba, Mike Miller and spouse Tamisha, Elissia McPhillips Reynoldson, Jacob Smith, and Elijah McPhillips. She was a proud great grandmother to Jaxsen Miller,son of Mike and Tamisha.

Ronnie is survived by sisters Ellen, Elaine, and Patti, and brothers Bob, Dennis and Kevin. She was also

very close friends with her sisters-in-law Sandy and Shelly. She is also survived by multiple other family

and friends. She was a prayer warrior for many different prayer chains.
