Sharon Kay Gunkel, age 72 years, of Omaha, Nebraska. She was born July 31, 1949 in Yakima, Washington to Ollie and Betty (Coe) Newsom. Sharon passed away in Omaha Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Sharon was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Rexford J. Gunkel, one sister, one brother, 6 daughters, 1 son, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.
