Sharie Ann (Eng) Schmitz, 84, passed away June 19, 2025 with loved ones by her side in Lincoln NE.

Sharie was born July 7, 1940 to Verna (Shaw) & Emanuel Eng in Northfield MN and grew up at the family home near Dundas, MN.

Sharie attended college for 2 years and then worked at the Northfield bank. In 1960, she married Paul Schmitz. The family moved to Two Harbors, MN in 1970 where they raised 4 kids. She attended night school to become a certified tax accountant for Beneficial and also worked at Micatins's and True Value throughout the years.

Sharie was an avid Twins, Vikings and NASCAR fan. She loved to garden, sew and craft. At age 50 she completed the 1st MS Tram Bicycle Ride Across MN with her youngest daughter and son. She loved the beach, shelling and traveling the winter months with Paul in their RV, and visiting wineries. She recently moved to Lincoln NE to be near her daughter, granddaughters and great granddaughter.

Sharie is survived by her siblings Rise Thibideau and Lowell Eng, children Curtis (Susan) Schmitz, Rochelle (Jeff) Morton, Ashlee (Jeff) Conrad, Scott (Christine) Schmitz, grandchildren Heather (Farijah), Christie Morton, Brandan Schmitz, Airman E-2 Zackery Schmitz, and great granddaughters Annabelle and Charlotte (due Oct), and many nieces and nephews. Sharie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beverly Ross, former husband Paul Schmitz, grandson Scott Suomi and her beloved dog Taz. Memorial and inurnment at German Union Cemetery to be held at a later date.
