SCOTT REINEKE, died peacefully at home on December 4, 2021 at the age 59 after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Scott is survived by his wife, Lynne (Wurdeman), his daughter Carlie Reineke, his brother Kevin Reineke, 1 aunt and 2 cousins. Preceding him in death was his father Gary Reineke, mother Sherill Quist, sons Ryder Jase Reineke, Colton Cash Reineke and aunt Merna Reineke. Scott was born in Lincoln on August 21, 1962 to Gary Reineke and Sherill Lydick. He graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1981 where shortly thereafter he pursued a lifelong career in the automotive sales industry. Scott was married to Lynne for over 24 years and on August 16th, 1998, they welcomed their beautiful daughter Carlie into their life and she became the most important part of his. Scott was a devoted father, a fireworks enthusiast and a Husker fan. He enjoyed all sports but his great satisfaction and fulfillment came from hosting Husker tailgate parties for family and friends. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all that knew him. A Celebration of Life gathering is scheduled on Sunday, January 9th starting at noon at the O.G., located at 2755 Jamie Lane, Lincoln, NE 68516.
