Ronald (Ron) E Meyer died Saturday April 22, 2023 after a short but vicious battle with lung cancer. Ron was born on May 4, 1962 in Norfolk, NE to Earl Allen Meyer and Shirley Jean Meyer(Huebner).

Ron did a short service in the Navy as a submariner after graduating Honor man of his recruit class. Ron dedicated the last 20 years to caring for others, starting with being a stay at home Dad and Grandpa caregiver, and then caring for his Mom when she needed him as well as several of her neighbors that he could assist. He was a passionate dog Dad and dedicated to his family. He leaves behind his wife, Dawn L Meyer (Fletcher);his children, Andrew J Fletcher, Micheal S Meyer, Benjamin Cosier (Carla), Tara N Wiser(David), and Zachary J Meyer (Saylor); his mother, Shirley J Portis; Siblings, Tim Meyer(Marge), Jim Meyer(Nancy) and Valerie Higby(Steve); Grandchildren, Thomas Fletcher, Tessa Wiser, Davin Wiser, Ayden Meyer, Avery Yates, Adeline Cosier, and Rett Cosier; several well loved nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Steven and Grandparents Royal and Helen Huebner as well as his father Earl. A Celebration of Life will be held on Memorial Day, May 29th, 2023 at the Cooper Park Shelter on 8th Street between E and F Street in Lincoln, NE from 10 to1. Memorials to the family for use at a later date.
