Obituary

Pamella Louise Reed, 85, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Dec. 18, 2025. Born Nov. 26, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., to William and Erna (Postier) Palmer, Pamella's life was marked by love and joyful connections. She graduated from high school in St. Paul and began a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper that spanned more than three decades. She retired from Cook Family Foods in 2005 and embraced her next chapter with enthusiasm, becoming a cherished foster grandparent in Beatrice, where she was affectionately known as Grandma Pam. She married Stephen Leo Reed in 1975, and they brought together a blended family and welcomed one child. Together, they made homes in Grand Island, Lincoln, and Beatrice, returning to Lincoln in 2022. Pamella loved music, good food, books, and the company of family. Her warmth touched many lives, and she found immense joy in creating lasting memories with loved ones.

She is survived by her husband; dog Sampson; children Caprice (Drew) Leonhard, Roger Casement, Stephanie Reed, and Mike Casement; daughter-in-law Kathleen Casement; step-daughter Heather (Joel) Edenfield; brother Ronald Zaine; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Elizabeth Casement; nephews Christopher Reed and Joel Peplinski; brother Jack Imsdahl; and brothers-in-law Anthony Roark and Frank Nauheimer.
