Norman L. Carlson (Norm), went home to meet his Lord on September, 29th , 2013. Norman was born December 14, 1933 in Denver, Colorado to Peter J. and Agnes C. Carlson. He was raised in Commerce City, Colorado. After Graduating he served in the United States Coast Guard. He spent 33 years as an Engineering Specialist with Hewlett Packard (in Loveland CO, Ft. Collins CO, Vancouver WA, and Greeley CO), retiring in 1997. He was married to Mary A. Carlson for 52 years. They called Colorado home, and spent many years in Loveland. After retirement Norman and Mary Ann made their home in Oakland, Nebraska. Norman had many passions in life including his wife, family, friends, pets, camping, fishing, the outdoors, and making people laugh. His incredible sense of humor will be missed and carried on. Survivors include: his wife Maryann of Oakland NE; Sons Robert F. Carlson (Nancy, Bobbe Jo, Rourke, Tristan, Sean) of Elkhorn, NE; Peter J. Carlson (Jan) of Brighton, CO; Daughters Sharon L. Schlecht (Tiffany, Arthur) of Westminster CO; Valerie A. Carlson (Marcie, George) of Westminster, CO; and Brother Robert M. Carlson of Davis, CA. Norman was preceded in death by his Parents Peter and Agnes, Sister Christine, and Brother Ivan.
