Nancy Nancy Ann Brown, born April 28, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully in Lincoln, Nebraska, on February 20, 2026. Her 90 years were marked by compassion, devotion, and a warmth that made others feel instantly at ease.

Nancy dedicated 53 years to a nursing career defined by exceptional care and genuine kindness. After retiring, she continued to enrich the lives of others by teaching piano. An accomplished pianist, she especially loved classical music, which remained a lifelong source of joy and expression.

She enjoyed playing bridge, gathering with friends, and spending cherished time with her family. Nancy was a devoted mother, mother in law, grandmother, and great grandmother, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and humor. Her wonderful sense of humor could lighten any moment.

Nancy also shared a special bond with her beloved cat, BZ, whose companionship brought her daily comfort. Her deep love for animals reflected her gentle and caring nature. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life and brought her peace in her final moments.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Carolyn Simon. She is survived by her daughter, Candice, and her husband, Pierce Koslosky, of Omaha; her son, Albert, and his wife, Chris Cuttler, of Gretna; and her son, Mark, and his wife, Pam Cuttler, of Lincoln. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, no service will be held. Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Capital Humane Society.

Nancy was greatly loved, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
