Linda "Jolene" Brown, age 72 of Nebraska City, died Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Omaha. She was born in Nebraska City on September 16, 1947 to Marion and Harriet (Cole) Russell. She was baptized at First Christian Church and later enjoyed singing in the church choir. Jolene grew up in Nebraska City and married Wayne Brown in April of 1968. She was a 35-year employee of American Meter Company. Her favorite things included singing and playing the piano, gardening and growing flowers. Jolene is survived by her husband Wayne Brown; daughters Diana Guhde and Kelley Brown (Edward Woehler); sister Lois (Jerry) Lilleholm; brother David (Michele) Russell; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Harriet Maude Cole Russell Rulla; father Marion Russell; brother Leroy Russell; sister Harriet "Ann" Dillon; and grandson Mark Wayne Prigge.
