Dr. Lawrence "Larry" J Herbig, D.C.

Larry J. Herbig of Omaha, NE passed away on December 30th, 2024 at age 71. He was born and raised in Jasper, IN, and spent most of his adult life in the Kansas City, MO area.

Larry graduated from Indiana University, with a degree in Mathematics in 1975. After looking at opportunities in the actuarial field, he realized he wanted to pursue a different career path. He enrolled at Cleveland Chiropractic College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1982.

In 1983, he founded the Chiropractic Wellness Center in Kansas City where he practiced until his retirement.

Larry was a beloved healer and spiritual teacher. In addition to working with his patients with chiropractic care, he loved learning and brought in many other healing therapies into his practice. He treasured this part of his life, and the close friends he made in the Kansas City area.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Linus Herbig of Jasper, IN; wife MaryAnn (Riley) of Kansas City; and sister Karen Muller (Gerald) of Jasper, IN.

He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Michelle Cunningham of Omaha, NE; sister Judy Buechlein (Jim, deceased) of Jasper, IN; sister Janet (Chuck) Bruggeman of Wadesville, IN; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

The family will honor and celebrate Larry's special life with a private ceremony.
