Kristie Louise McDonald (Bourn), age 62, of Harvard, Nebraska passed away on May 25th, 2026 at The Harvard Rest Haven. Kristie was born on March 24th,1964 in Atkinson, Nebraska to Eva and Bill Bourn. Kristie spent her early years with nine other brothers and sisters in Atkinson and later, Central City. Life took Kristie to many places where she always cultivated a warm, welcoming home for family and friends-a gift she gave tirelessly until she was no longer able.

Kristie will be remembered by a beautifully kept home and her legendary cooking. No one ever left her home hungry or unimpressed by its tidiness. She dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in making sure her children were cared for.

Kristie is survived by Children: Mellisa Moore (Chancey), Brian Addison, Meagan Barnett (Trevor), Jennifer Barnett (Quinten). Grandchildren: Caden Sexton (Briana), Kinsley Castillo, Brooklynn Fair, and Kenlynn Fair. Sisters and Brothers: Sherril McKeown (Mike), Cindy Pomajzl, Kathy Nordhues (Charlie), Kim Bourn (Trisha), Rick Steskal (Mel), and Rod Steskal. Kristie was preceded in death by her mother Eva Meredith and brothers Ronnie Steskal, Randy Steskal, and Roger Steskal.

A celebration of life will be held September 5th, 2026 in Hastings, Nebraska with close relatives and friends.
