Kathryn Dale Stephenson Schultz

1956 - June 23rd 2025.

Kathy passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on June 23rd 2025. She was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. Her parents were Dale and Winona Stephenson, her siblings Karen Buhl (sister) and Dana Stephenson (brother) Kathy was a dedicated daughter, wife, sister, aunt, and friend to all!

Kathy's time was spent largely among her family and friends. She was married to her loving husband Danny for 46 years, until his passing in 2023. Her family also included the many doggies she had throughout the years. They were her children and she was the BEST Momma!!

Kathy loved to travel and "The Schmidt" family annual reunions often took her to Colorado and Grand Island, NE. There were many good memories and escapades!

Kathy and Danny loved being in their home, cooking, gardening, entertaining, always an easy place to be!

Kathy was a very hard worker; she worked at Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph / Windstream for 30 years retiring from there in 2007. She then worked at Tabitha Home Health and then Lincoln Public Schools, as a faithful custodian (she loved to interact with the children, they became her good friends!) Kathy was always within close proximity of old and new friends wherever she went. She LOVED fun, stories and laughter!

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by sister Karen Buhl, several cousins, nieces, nephews, many close friends and neighbors.

Her family will Celebrate her life, on July 25th 2025 at Rosie's Restaurant 1501 Center Park Rd. 1-5 pm. There will be a service, followed by a fellowship of memories and her favorite thing to do… "chatting!!"
