Kathryn Ann Schmachtenberger passed away on February 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born December 1, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to Harold & Edna Schmachtenberger, she spent her childhood playing and helping out on the family farm before the family relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1972 and pursued a career in nursing, dedicating nearly 40 years to caring for patients with compassion and skill.

Kathy found joy in traveling, painting, and watching movies, but what she cherished most was sharing the good news of God's Kingdom. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she devoted many years to full-time ministry, teaching others about the Word of God and mankind's hope for the future.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and siblings Linda, James and Patricia. She is survived by her brother Gary (Sara) of Midvale, UT.

Her contagious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
