Jeannie Louise (Bauer) Darrington 66, of Lincoln, NE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Jeannie passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born to Eugene and Bernice (Jones) Bauer on May 18, 1958, in Lincoln, NE. She was a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and the heart of her family. Jeannie leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Jeannie was the loving wife of Mark Darrington - her partner in life and adventure. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter and endless love. She was the glue that held everyone together. As the family organizer, she took great pride in planning and hosting holidays, celebrations and gatherings. Always ensuring that every occasion was filled with love and togetherness. Her ability to mediate and bring peace to any situation was unmatched. She worked tirelessly to strengthen the bonds between her loved ones. Known for her selflessness, Jeannie always put others before herself. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She lived life on her own terms, with grace, determination, and a spirit that inspired all who crossed her path. Jeannie's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will continue to guide those she held dear. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived and a woman who made this world a better place by being in it.

Jeannie's memory will live on in the hearts of her loving husband Mark. Her daughters Lisa (Anthony) Ballard and Nicki Hunt. Her stepchildren Mathew Darrington and Abby Hartman. Her Grandchildren Cameron and Treyson Hunt, Natalie Darrington, Jameson Ballard, Kaden and Corbin Hartman - all of Lincoln. Her Sisters Sharon Smice, Shannon (Larry) Vlasnik all of Lincoln, NE. Vicki Parrish of Union, MO. Sandra Novotny of Henderson, NV; brother Troy Bauer of Lincoln, NE. Many nieces and nephews and her dearest friend Sara Schwartztrauber. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Bernice Bauer, sisters; Tina Henderson and Victoria Karczewski; her brothers Willard "Willie" Miller, Michael "Mike" Bauer and Joey Miller. Her brother's in-law Gary Henderson, Allen Parrish, William Novotny, James Smice and David Strange; Niece, Nicole Winistoefer; Nephew, Matthew Bauer.

Rest in peace sweet Jeannie. You will be dearly missed, but your love and light will remain with us forever.
