Inez "Carol" Hollingsworth

April 12, 1952 – October 2, 2025

Inez Carol (Webster) Hollingsworth, lovingly known as Carol, passed away on October 2, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 12, 1952, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to L.B. and Betty (Carpenter) Webster.

Carol lived a life defined by generosity, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She married the love of her life, Bill Hollingsworth, on November 24, 1979, in Reno, Nevada. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Megan, on September 13, 1986. Though told she would never have children, Carol cherished the miracle of motherhood and poured her heart into raising Megan and later, spoiling her three grandchildren.

Her career path reflected her hard-working and service-oriented nature. Carol worked more than 20 years for the State of California, served as Postmaster in Hollenberg, Kansas, and later worked part-time for the Washington Motel. Wherever she went, Carol made connections—never knowing a stranger and always finding a way to brighten someone's day with her words and laughter.

Carol loved adventure, travel, and conversation. A true "hippy at heart," she lived freely, fully, and with open arms for all who crossed her path. She especially loved being a grandmother—cheering from the stands at Zane's, Emma's, and Aria's sporting events and creating memories that will live on in their hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Marysville, KS; daughter Megan (Terry) Blacketer; and grandchildren Zane, Emma, and Aria, all of Marysville, KS. She is also survived by her twin sister, Gail Alberty of Kingman, AZ; her brothers Charles (Joan) Webster of Maricopa, AZ, and Mark (Etta) Webster of Conover, NC; and many nieces and nephews who adored her. While waiting for her own miracle child, Carol poured her love into her niece and nephews: Charlotte (Jeff) Bowers of Maricopa, AZ, Charlie (Mik) Webster of Chico, CA, Timmy Alberty of Kingman, AZ, and Jeremy Alberty of Boone, IA.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. and Betty Webster, and her brother, Tommy Webster.

To know Carol was to know someone who would do anything for anyone—whether it was lending a hand, listening without judgment, or making sure you left her presence feeling loved and cared for. Her spirit was vibrant, her heart was giving, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date. In her honor, the family encourages acts of kindness—big or small—as a way to carry forward her giving spirit.
