Franklin D. Spencer, age 81 of Council Bluff, IA, formerly of Fremont, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home. He was born February 28, 1937 in Cozad, NE to Richard and Ruby (Brown) Spencer. He was one of eight children. His siblings included 5 sisters: Delores, Judy, Lois, Linda, Beulah, and two brothers: Roger and Virgil. Frank grew up on a farm near Cozad, NE. He met Nancy Watchorn in Fremont Nebraska in 1961 and they were married March 15, 1963. Frank dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1966 and Nancy followed suit in 1967. They served Jehovah faithfully for many years, showing hospitality and sharing friendship with so many. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and working in his wood shop. Frank is survived by his wife Nancy Spencer; sons David (Heidi) Spencer, and Brad Spencer; daughter Mary (Tim) Knoell; sister Beulah (Carl) Thiede; grandson Bradley (Laura) Knoell; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 5 pm, Saturday, September 8, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 2601 S. 10th Street, Council Bluffs, IA 51501.
