"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
Donna Jean Lamp Arnold passed away March 2025, at the age of 64. She was a native and resident of Lincoln, Ne. Donna was a beacon of strength, humor, and unconditional generosity. She faced every challenge with a smile and a ready heart, always giving to those in need and always ready to lend a hand. Donna truly knew that it was more of a blessing to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. A beautiful soul who would help anyone. She would give the last of what she had to anyone who needed it, everyone was equal and deserved help and happiness, no matter what they went through in life. No matter who you were she loved fearlessly. Donna showed us that the true measure of life is in the love we share. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, reminding us that every act of kindness matters. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. Her laugh could be heard from a block over, she loved going to the beach, dancing the night away, camping till winter came and traveling. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dogs.
Donna had a full life and always enjoyed the many jobs she had through the years such as Lester Electrical, waitressing at the KEG, Lincoln Public School, Duncan Aviation and even the jobs that challenged her in a man's world like garage work. She loved working on her own car and showing her knowledge in mechanics. She always wanted the best in life and for her family.
Donna was a loving mother to John Steckly, Arren Arnold, and Andrea Enriquez. She is a grandmother to 5 beautiful Granddaughters, and a loving baby sister to Mary Nickels, Esther Oborny, and Don Bradley who she loved dearly and could always count on.
Beloved by family, friends, and community, she is survived by her two sons John Steckly, Arren Arnold and daughter Andrea Enriquez. Although her kindness and selflessness has created a ripple effect, touching so many lives and those who were blessed to have meet her, will forever cherish her memory and carry her with them forever.
Preceded in death by Donna's parents Lester and Bernice Lamp, and many other family members and loved ones that greeted her at heaven's gate.
A Life of Perseverance and Laughter taken too soon. Though we mourn the loss of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and partner, we celebrate a life lived with courage, humor, and an open-heart Donna will forever inspire us to meet life's challenges with resilience and to share our blessings with others. Rest in peace, she will forever rejoice in the house of the Lord, with no more pain and no more suffering. May your light continue to shine in every act of kindness. May every sunset and sunrise carry your love from heaven as it covers us with its warmth. May the laughter we hear from across the room remind us of you and the joy you gave others. Although Donna is gone, she will live in our hearts forever, you are missed.
Thank you, Mom, for showing us that a life well-lived is measured not by what we hold onto, but by the love and kindness we share. Your legacy of generosity, resilience, and joy will forever light our way.
