Delmer L. Else passed away on September 20, 2012 at Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo, Nebraska. He was born on June 7, 1919 near Elm Creek, Nebraska to Edward and Emma (Maas) Else. He was an eighth grade graduate of the District 40 country school. He married Lila H. Larson of Elm Creek, Nebraska on February 15, 1950. To this union three sons were born: Rodney, Dennis, and Lonnie. The couple resided on a farm east of Overton for eighteen years and then moved to a farm (the farm that Lila grew up on) south of Elm Creek. Delmer loved working with livestock, especially his team of horses. He was in many local parades with his team of horses. He also enjoyed playing baseball and playing his mandolin and guitar. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: his oldest brother was born at rest, Warren and his wife Doris, Everett and his wife Arlene, two great grandchildren, Hayden Lade and Ava Else. He is survived by his sons: Rodney Else and his wife, Gaylene of Brighton, Colorado, Dennis Else and his wife, Cheri of Mead, Nebraska, Lonnie Else and his wife, Stephanie of Elm Creek, Nebraska, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
