Christine M
Trauernicht
Jun 29, 1961 — Aug 18, 2025
Christine Marie Trauernicht was someone you came to for advice, direction, comfort, and a reminder of faith. She loved being a mother, her girls were her life. Her faith in God was second to none and her love for our heavenly Father was followed closely with her unconditional love for her husband, Gene. Her time spent with her best friend Sue Ann was most cherished. She loved fiercely and her loyalty could never waiver. Her many talents included playing hymns and songs on the piano many evenings for her family, making sure that everyone was comforted with her delicious cooking, her love of art, creating, and imagination inspired many, and her ability to always be available with the right words and a listening ear. She showed compassion beyond belief and a perseverance that moved mountains. She gifted everything for those she loved and was the living definition of the truest altruism.
Christine is survived by her husband Gene Trauernicht; daughters and their families, Victoria and Mark Lorenzen, Emily Trauernicht and Kyle Pankoke, Elise and Tate Rittenberger and her beloved granddaughter Violet Rittenberger.
She is also survived by her parents and siblings; Harriet and Dennis Wieting, David Wieting, Andrea Seuferer. She is also survived by her niece, nephews, friends and many more whom she held close to her heart.
A Celebration of Life for Christine will be held at Messiah Lutheran in Lincoln, NE on Monday, August 25th at 10:00 am.
