I, Barbara Jo Fougeron, 46, passed away July 4, 2013 from lung cancer. I refuse to call it a valiant fight because it wasnt. I fought to have more time with my husband and soul mate, Jim Fougeron. I fought to have more time with my amazing son, David Dennis and wonderful daughter, Kristen Fougeron. I wanted to spend time with my beautiful daughter-in-law, Sara Dennis and the most perfect grandson, Oliver Dennis. I fought because my parents, Dave and Bunnie Skilton, shouldnt have to bury their child. I fought for my sisters, Michelle Niles and Elizabeth Skilton because it has always been the three of us. I fought because I didnt have a choice. Lung cancer does not discriminate. Anyone can get it. The Remembrance/Farewell Gathering on July 27 at the Aksarben Aquarium south of Gretna, will begin at 11 am and will continue throughout the day and evening. Memorials are being directed to the Barbara Skilton Fougeron Foundation for Outdoor Youth
