Arlene "Mandy" Kay
Rodenbaugh
Jan 28, 1963 — Feb 7, 2026
Arlene "Mandy" Rodenbaugh, 63, of Lincoln, Nebraska, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2026. After years of health challenges, she passed away peacefully in her home with her daughters and her beloved cat, Marvel, by her side. Born on January 28, 1963, she was the daughter of Leo Burdette and Levonna Jean Sorensen.
Mandy was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus and enthusiastically shared her testimony with family, friends, and neighbors. A woman of diverse talents, she played the flute, recorder, and piano. She was a gifted artist who found joy in drawing and spent many happy hours tending to her lawn and her tomato and pepper plants. Her lifelong love for animals, especially horses, began in her youth when she participated in western horse shows and barrel racing with her horse, Tina.
A graduate of Minden High School, Mandy enjoyed her time as the banner holder for the marching band.
Arlene dedicated her professional life to the service of others, working for many years in home health care. She also worked in food service, including a memorable time at McDonald's where she was affectionately nicknamed "McMandy." She also spent time volunteering for the Red Cross.
She was married for 17 years to James Rodenbaugh, with whom she had three children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Marlene Shlenz. She is survived by her three children: Jessica (Micah) Stanley, Joshua Rodenbaugh, and Natasha Cullinane; and her four cherished grandchildren: Zechariah, Isaiah, Echo, and Evelynn. She also leaves behind her sisters, Karen and Marjorie, both of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at 2:00 PM on March 7, 2026, at Gentle Shepherd Baptist Church
